SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to your community.

SASSA will probably be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it is alarmed with regards to the significant amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area every day. The service issue established for intervention activities a substantial influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the SRD office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more sources to help the servicing of all prospects and enhance usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
